Repair operations are performed at the Daugavpils Locomotive Repair Plant (DLRR), owned by Skinest Rail. The enterprise was founded in the city of Daugavpils, Latvia, in 1866 as the central locomotive and rail car repair workshop. In 1965, the plant was fully renovated in order to provide the necessary conditions to overhaul locomotives.
The company specializes in depot repairs, intermediate maintenance and complete overhauls of all types of locomotives, works aimed at extending the service life of rolling stock, and various types of modernization . The DLRR performs repair and modernization (including the interior modernization ) of D1 and DR1 DMU diesel trains, as well as trains ER2 and ER9 EMU electric. It also manufactures spare parts for the needs of railway transport.
